Font Style Generator

44 styles. Styled text is made of Unicode characters, so screen readers may read it letter by letter. How it works.

A font style generator swaps each letter you type for a Unicode character that looks bold, cursive, gothic or decorated. Because the result is text and not a font file, it keeps its look when you paste it into an Instagram bio, a WhatsApp message or a game nickname.

Type above, pick a style and tap Copy. Choose where you will paste it to see the length that field counts. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Where you can paste these font styles

Most apps that accept emoji also accept these characters: Instagram name, bio and captions, WhatsApp messages and about text, Facebook posts and comments, Free Fire and BGMI nicknames, Discord and Telegram. Two places usually refuse them: the Instagram username (only letters, numbers, periods and underscores) and your Facebook profile name, where Facebook does not allow symbols or characters from more than one language.

If a style looks wrong after you paste it, try Bold or Italic first. Those use the most widely supported characters.

Why some styles show boxes

A box, a question mark or an empty square means the phone or computer reading the text has no font with that character. The text itself is fine and looks right on devices that have the character. Older Android phones and some game fonts miss the less common sets, such as the black squares, the Vai letters or the newer superscripts. More on boxes and missing letters.

Letters, effects and symbols

The styles come in three kinds, and the list mixes them:

The font style names page lists every style with its Unicode block and any missing letters.

Questions

Are these real fonts?

No. A font is a file installed on a device. These are Unicode characters, like emoji, that already look bold or cursive. That is why they survive copy and paste into apps that have no font setting.

Is it free, and do I need an app?

It is free and runs in the browser. There is no app to install, no sign-up, and the text you type is not sent anywhere.

Can I use a font style in my Instagram username?

No. Instagram usernames accept letters, numbers, periods and underscores only. Use styled text in your Instagram name and bio instead, which are separate fields. See the Instagram fonts page.

Why does the counter show more characters than I typed?

Some styles use two code points per letter, and effects like underline add a mark after every letter. Apps count these differently, so the counter shows the raw number and, for fields with a confirmed limit such as the 150-character Instagram bio, the limit too.

How do I save a style I like?

Tap the heart next to it. Saved styles stay in this browser and appear under the Saved tab.
